SpongeBob SquarePants - Title Theme (Instrumental) (Namco System 86 C30 WSG+YM2151 Cover)

SpongeBob SquarePants first premiered on Nickelodeon on May 1st, 1999; 25 years ago today. It's a show I and numerous others grew up with, and I still treasure it to this day for having excellent comedy, fun characters, and a grand amount of heart. I knew I had to honor such a monumental show by covering its famous theme song, albeit the instrumental of it. I recently stumbled upon the individual stems of the theme song, and it was really cool seeing how elaborately the song was produced.Given the vast array of instruments, I felt that the Namco System 86 chipset would be a good fit for a chiptune recreation of this classic children's anthem.

Composed by: Derek Drymon, Mark Harrison, Stephen Hillenburg, & Blaise Smith
