For whatever reason, the videos recorded on the CD Mavica look a lot brighter and clearer on the Mavica's screen - you can actually see down the hallway at the end of this clip if you're watching it on the Mavica. I'm not sure what the issue is that crushes a lot of detail into the blacks when playing back on modern stuff.
