YouTube has become nothing more than a race to see how many fucking subscribers they can get by coaching their viewers to subscribe to them, even though no one gives a shit about how many subscribers you got, you're still a sore loser.
This is one of the many reasons why users migrated to Vidlii, and other YouTube Clones, to experience the days of yore where YouTube wasn't a cancerous shouting contest that try as desperately as possible to exploit YouTube's already broken algorithm by doing shit like this.

I would love to have a much bigger following than I do now, but I wouldn't resort to selling out. I just post videos and let the subscribers come to me if they're interested (which surprisingly works as I now have over half a thousand subscribers on my YouTube channel)
If you resort to whoring yourself out for views and subscribers, chances are you'd be prone to controversy and your ego would get to an all-time high.

You're absolutely right! I've never had to resort to such tactics. I mean, I never got paid anyways. However, even if I did, what difference does it make? Video making was just a hobby for me, that's it! I wanted to create mostly educational content. Very rarely did I create something of entertainment purposes. I hope everything you said will help others realize why YouTube overall just sucks. The problem is, there's too many wannabes with low morales and no respect to others.

This video is true! And this is why YouTube is turning awful now, And many YouTubers are whoring with the subs And likes! Like WTF? I will never Subscribe to them or like their videos, Unless they make good content, And not to mention, Also these Your Angelica spambots are taking over YouTube, And goes to a random video and says "I Love You, Do you remember me?" Like nobody remembers you, And "I Love You, New video about you )" Like really? This will just lead you to a virus! So sad indeed...

Yeah, it's pretty sad how YouTubers these days are whoring their viewers asking for likes and subscribers in the video. I mean seriously, if the person likes your content, the choice is up to them to do one or the other. Like you already explained in your video, it's also pretty sad how YouTubers also ask for that if the video's topic has to do with a tragedy. I'm also pretty sure that LifeInATent didn't care about the people who died in that tragedy occurrence. So sad indeed...

In some sense I for one personally youtube for the simple fact that they treat thier small content creators like garbage, they deliberately messed up the views and the subscribe counts back in spring 2012 the unsubscribing glitch began not only it hit the small content creators including myself but it also hit the big content creators back in 2016 then on December 14th 2016, youtube had to made a response to the issue on video which have lied to us and that got me to leave youtube permanently.
