It's a shame, and the performance isn't too great from what I've heard, but I'll say this again: this isn't an enthusiast machine. Power users who look for a good deal don't want this no matter how cheap it is. It's an entry level OEM build with proprietary parts for people who have disposable income and don't care. This is for the lowest common denominator gamer. The price is ridiculous, but oh well. That's the world we live in now. Hoping the Steam Frame might pick up the slack, but VR is a niche thing.
I'm gonna hold off from too much judgment until a while after it ships. I think with how quickly news travels these days we all get too doom and gloom about shit that's really not that bad.

@SkibidiCoffee Dusk and Ion Fury are pretty cool. I used to play a lot of Robocraft when I was around your age but that game shut down now, maybe you'll find a community server patch. I think the RC15 project is still around. Dirty Bomb might be able to run? don't count on that though. Paladins might also work but it blocks Proton. Some older games, I really like Xonotic and Deus Ex. Blood and Bacon is good with friends if you can't run L4D.
Shooters are a bit of a blind spot for me in regard to what will/won't run, most of my favorite games are either from weird niche genres or are really old (nothing wrong with that), when I had a slower computer I played mainly platformers and smaller experimental games.
If you're fine with twin-stick or top down: Heat Signature, Animal Royale or Streets of Rogue are good games too and should work.

@madarao ok. btw just now i went on neal.fun again and found they added a cool sandbox game on. its interesting because i find alot of cool browser grames but theres no way for me to download them to play offline and archive incase the site shuts down. like even if you download the html for the game page they use links for alot of their code i think so it wont work with a downloaded offline html file.

definitely more then ps5 but i assume its a good deal compared to gaming pcs because ram prices. idk.
i know i was searching on amazon for a laptop today and there was results for laptops costing 1.4million yen (like 10k USD). its just nuts like 1million yen in japan you can buy a small abandoned house or a car prob for that price yet mfs are blowing that on a laptop not even a desktop that can be upgraded and isnt reliant on batteries

@madarao idk why with high prices someone doesnt make it cheap to win the market. like im pretty sure. apple if they wanted to could sell the ram in their macbooks for 1dollar for a few months and they would be able to monopolize and corner the whole market because their big enough to sell things at 1cent or 1dollar for a few months without going bankrupt and they could have 100% share of the PC market if they did that. idk why noone has done that with tech. when prices are high make your product so cheap you win the entire market and have a monopoly within a few months.

@SkibidiCoffee LOL they wouldn't have 100% or anywhere close by doing that, that's insanely unrealistic. you're oversimplifying all of the factors that go into it. even if it did work, that much loss and demand would kill any company overnight.
