The covenant initiated with Abraham and developed with his descendants by the prophets, Jesus, the Messiah, came to open it up to all of humanity, asserting that if the God of Israel was the one and only true God, then He could not be the God of jews alone, but also of all people. This teaching displeased many Jews, who saw in it —and still see in that— the loss of their glory of the chosen people. Jesus reminded to them the drifts and misfortunes to which their interpretation of the Word of God had already led them, but this led to his death and to the persecution that the Church continues to suffer at the hands of those who is thus became the synagogue of Satan. And indeed, why should Jewish particularisms be elevated to the status of universal norms? what however islam is used in a mimetic rivalry also exemplary as demonic.
