You NEED to Appreciate YouTube MORE [Thanks for 2K subs!]

YouTube's ability to recommend videos "great", and then, about the most ludicrous claim on the planet, " YouTube only shows videos that that particular account owner might like"??!! So this video was made in like, 2014?? Because it obviously must have been if you are actually claiming that YouTube ever shows a video you want to see at the top of the home pages, or even completely irrelevantly underneath/in the sidebar from another video, instead of what it actually does which is releatey show the exact we video, aaximim of maybe 15 videos at a time, including the most annoying possible crap like what people who purposely watched "Annoying Orange" would watch as well as the most irrelevant and lowbrow crap like CNN... wait a minute!!!! This guy literally just claimed that YouTube has LOW censorship??!!! Popular, well-known, long-term, zero-problem-content people have literally more then half of their 10+ years of videos gone because YOUTUBE LITERALLY DELETED THEM. With a "claim"

No video site is created out of "spite". It is created for the purpose of making a place to upload videos that is not conducting illegal surveillance and/or " is a site that actually exists" i.e. without unreasonable censorship.

Despite its flaws, I still really enjoy YouTube. Though, I've been liking VidLii a lot as well!

That being said, I might join a few more video sites just for the heck of it lol.

I love YT but tbh that one thing that drives me insane is actually the comment system, moderation or whatever they call it, no matter how you set it in the video uploader is always way too insanely overtunes. It's basically a 50-50 everytime someone posts a comment, you better copy paste that shit because it may get removed for no reason at all. I also don't understand why they no longer have a proper block function, sure it may bamboozle some user thinking their comments are going through but the moment they find you posting under a different video they can still join the convo and derail stuff, so that is simply not a good solution.

YT comment moderation sucks, I've been shadowbanned for years with my comments being auto-deleted no matter what I say. I've tested it many times with innocuous comments like "Nice video" or similar. It pretends that you posted it and then deletes it when it thinks you don't notice. Giving tools to channels to deal with this with word filters is fine, but the automod shit is fucked.

Censorship is amplified by self-censoring for adsense money, which is one side. The other side is actual censorship and deranking based on keywords, which is terrible. This usually doesn't affect you unless you have enough eyes on your channel, but once it affects you, it's already too late.

The only thing that people seem to get consistently wrong is the profitability and cost of YT, which are absurdly low and absurdly high, respectively.

Censorship and usability problems on YT are real, but most would go away if people were willing to pay for shit they use.
