Kunio's Nekketsu Soccer League (Famicom) - Nekketsu FC Theme (PC Engine Cover) (2-19-2026)

It was recently brought to people's attention that Kazuo Sawa, the main composer for Technōs Japan's Nekketsu/River City/Kunio-kun series, has passed away (we don't know the exact date, but it was revealed by his son Sion Sawa in a recent tweet). Given that Nekketsu is one of my favorite game series, and that I've always loved the series' music, I knew I had to honor Mr. Sawa's musical genius with a cover of one of the best songs from the series he helped make legendary. Fittingly enough, the song is the hot-blooded title theme (listed in-game as the Nekketsu FC Theme) of one of the Nekketsu series' best games. Kunio's Nekketsu Soccer League!
