This is an old cs/gmod map that i used to boot up every time i wanted to look at something nice. i always thought it was foreboding in it's own weird way. the lonely ambience, the school setting along with the knowledge that it was definitely an irl school, the fact that you are either here by yourself or you are fighting for your life, there's a haunting aspect to it. a lot of source engine maps kind of carry this hauntological aura around them, but i always felt like this one in particular was something of note. it's so happy, but so empty. so bright and vibrant, but in a quite awful and offputting context.
i don't know who originally made the map, but good on you. idk why you made it though, could have been for some weird shit idk, but i appreciate it on a deeper level.
it's funny, because from me exploring this place when i was much younger, that leaves me in the now almost doubly haunted by it. the memory of what was, and what never was. a familiarity with a place i've never been.
