First song of 2024, baby!
I recently managed to get an external speaker for TV since I found out that the audio of the Namco 163's sound expansion for the Famicom was distorting in the internal speakers. So, I felt it'd be appropriate to finally do something using the Namco 163 again after not using it for so many months. I felt like trying to make a fast-paced dance song, mainly because I've partially been in a Michael Jackson mood the past month or two, so I made an energetic drum loop with DPCM samples from Super Mario Bros. 3 and a melodic bass line to go with it. As the song began to take shape, I realized that it started to kinda sound like a Mega Man song, which I thought was pretty cool.
