Y2K aesthetic reminds me of my days at Kowloon Junior School 2013-2019
The Y2K aesthetic knows to be nice, it was blown out of proportion. I personally like it when, for example, my system looks bland as possible, so that I add on top of it, rather than being forced to be stuck with an aesthetic.

The "frutiger aero" look doesn't really bother me but I've never liked that there are kids from after the 2000s hyping it up. I like "dated" looking skeumorphic UIs because they are way more functional and easier to parse with your eyes than minimalist garbage. I've never liked Windows Aero either (despite growing up with it); it's so visually distracting. Not to say that I dislike Frutiger Aero though just that it sucks for UIs. It'd be cool if graphic designers were interested in making stuff that took inspiration from all time periods but you have to be complacent to get hired I guess.

Newgrounds is still active today and so is Homestar Runner when it uploads like once a year. lol. If you want a way to play Flash animations, there's the Ruffle extension for Firefox that works pretty well.
Certain music from the era would be like pop, rap, drum n bass, nu metal, ska, punk, emo, ect. Nice thing about that is all of that music is super cheap now too. You can find used CDs at The Exchange, ebay, goodwill, ect. I personally like stuff like The Offspring. A lot of their stuff is topical today.

Anyway don't listen to the right wing trolls in this comment section, you're doing great! Love Y2k Aesthetic myself, I post a lot of it on Bluesky too. That and a bunch of video game stuff. You'd be surprised by how many indie games are capturing that Y2k aesthetic, not just the ps-one look, but also that super flat anime look with the flat colors and thick outlines. Parappa stuff, ya know? Vividlope is a cool one! Then there's the cel shaded style with Bomb Rush Cyberfunk. It's like JSRF and it even got the music style right! There's mods for it too! Tons of em! If you want Y2k fashion, just go to a salvation army or a goodwill and you can find shirts, pants, hats, even sunglasses from that era. Etsy and ebay has them too. I'm avoiding Amazon because of Bezos, obviously. lol but yeah. Hang in there. This channel rules!
