When I was 8, I met one of the most sadistic human beings I have ever had the misfortune to encounter, the principle/preacher of my A.C.E. Christian school. This type of character is very typical in the preachers I have gotten to know in my life.

Between the years of 1974-1980, my mom went to a Catholic school. She was raised Catholic and tried her best to keep herself away from the notorious priests that wanted to touch little boys and girls. As soon as she left, she became pro-choice.

The strict clothes thing isn't uncommon at all. A catholic school near me is like that.

In the UK, we are forced to wear the same things in every school. We got the same punishments that you said, it was common that if you were talk out of turn the teacher would throw the blackboard duster on a tennis ball at your head.
