This Cartoon Was Originally Part Of The Short-Lived Ub Iwerks Series Called “ComiColor Cartoons” These Cartoons Were Made Using Cinecolor And Were Distributed By Ub Iwerks’s Own Studio Called “Celebrity Productions” Co Ran By Pat Powers.
This Cartoon Was The 11th Out Of The 25 Cartoons To Be Released Before The Company Would Discontinue The Series.
This Cartoon Later Became Infamous Because Of It’s Negative Stereotypes And Because Of The Story It’s Based On. Later In 1949, Castle Film’s, Who Distributed The ComiColor Cartoons For The Home Movie Market From 1942 — 1977, Was Involved In Controversy With This Short. Forcing Them To Discontinue The Color Version, Though A B&W Version Would Continue To Be Sold Until 1968.
