My Entire Betamax Movie Collection Part 1

#Betamax #BetamaxTapes #MoviesOnBetamax Hello everyone, welcome to my MovieCollector64 channel, if y'all are new, feel free to consider subscribing to my channel to see more videos like this and gaming videos on here. In this video, I show my Part 1 of my Entire Betamax Movie Collection! Just in case anyone is new to Betamax Tapes and stuff about Betamax in general, I'll explain! Betamax Players were released back in the mid to late 1970s in North America to compete with VHS and other formats. While Betamax did well for the first few years of it's life, it ended up failing and VHS outlived the Betamax Players because of how long you could record on a VHS Player, and recording live programs on it at the time was a big deal. VHS could record up to 2 or 3 times the length that Betamax could do, and Betamax players were made for the longest time, long after the Betamax Tapes were quit being made and VHS was ended up discontinued back in the 2000s with the tapes and 2010s with the players.

I found a Betamax VCR at a thrift store for $7, I thought I'd get it. The only Betamax tape I have is The Clan of the Cave Bear. Unfortunately the VCR gives no video signal, and I can't figure out why so I'm giving up on the whole thing. I did also order a Betamax tape of Rollerball which hasn't come yet.

@murphysmommy Thanks man and cool. As a 90s kid, I remember when VHS tapes competed with DVD. I remember seeing both DVDs and VHS in Blockbuster, Hollywood, other rental stores, and in stores! :)
