It's always annoying with these types of things. Most of the people are probably trying to be trolls and abuse the potential for real people's voices to be heard.
Especially when it revolves money, I knew about this fangame initiative that was collaborative group to get fans to make games based off the franchise and make a profit off of it (something that is not possible when making a fan project). Then it started becoming a mess when everyone was competing for it for not the sake of showcasing their passion for it but for the sake of cashing in.
