IRC is a very useful and lightweight chat system that can be used. I show you in this video, using Igloo client for iOS as my client (though the instructions are similar for other devices and clients), on how to connect to the IRC.

The nickname used (Jamie2) and channel used (#blarg) were just placeholders I used.
