Double rook study by Peter Krug – White moves and wins
This chess study was published in the Austrian chess magazine ‘Schach Aktiv’. At that time still under the editor Wilfried Seehofer. Wilfried Seehofer is the successor of Friedrich Chlubna. This chess study did not receive an award because it did not take part in a tournament. This chess study is all about stalemate avoidance. With the two white rooks, White can make two threats, which the black queen must parry. In order for White to win, the white king on f7 must be sacrificed so that the stalemate defence is cancelled. After the rook sacrifice, White's win is obvious. The video was made by Peter Krug.
