BEC SANDRIDGE - In the fog, in the flame - 3mn23 - 27771 KO

Bec SANDRIDGE was born in 1991 in Stanwell Park a picturesque coastal village of 1400 people nearby Wollongong, Illawara region (New South Wales, Australia) at around 55 km from Sydney. She was a self-confessed 'shower-singer' until she decided to make the leap into a full career, and at age 19 went backpacking around Europe. Choosing Britain on a contrarian impulse – most of her friends were spending their gap year in Spain – she ended up living in Glasgow, for 4 years. One afternoon early in her trip, she came across a duo busking. One of the pair, turned out to be Australian singer-songwriter Stu Larsen. The other, Michael Rosenberg (Passenger), was about to go N°1 in 22 countries with his single -Let Her Go-. They were staying at the same hostel as Bec in Glasgow. So she wrote a little bit with Stu, and they ended up inviting her on tour with them. Bec is playing lead guitar, 12 strings, ukulele, percussion, harmonica, foot stomping, wolf-whistling, backing vocals and singer.
