Gradius - Full Soundtrack (Namco C15 WSG Cover) (7-29-2026)
For anyone new here, this is the 2nd half of a project I took on recently as a commission from my friend Rei to cover the entire soundtrack of the 1985 Konami arcade classic Gradius. She wanted me to do this for a port of the Famicom/NES version to the Super Famicom/SNES utilizing the MSU-1 chip (RIP byuu). I did the OST on the Famicom Disk System a few weeks ago, and I've now done it again on the Namco C15 WSG sound chip! This chip is most well-known for its usage in Mappy, Gaplus, and The Tower of Druaga among other games. Like with the FDS covers, I did what I could to replicate the sound of the arcade version's music from the Konami Bubble System onto the Namco C15, and I think I did well!
