I'm surprised my PS1 hasn't had this happen yet. We've had it for 2 decades and it still works as it did when my dad first got it. The games still work fine too last time I checked.

yeah, most of the time you won't get this type of error because it's mostly caused by corrupted disc/bios, so you won't get this type of error if you won't use any modchips that allow this error to happen or do a single-swap of disks to cause it.

I don't think that this ever happened to my PS1 (when I had it at least), but if it would, I would've been traumatized probably. This is creepy.
