Vladimir Pachmann (1848-1933) was a pianist of German and Turkish descent, born in Odessa. He studied with Vera Kologrivoff Rubio (One of Chopin's assistants) and Josef Dachs (pupil of Tausig), making his recordings an invaluable resource on authentic 19th century pianism. He was one of the first pianists to record frequently, making dozens of recordings between 1907 and 1927. He played with a fluid, velvety style that drew ire and praise alike in critics.

These Chopin mazurka recordings are from between 1907 and 1927, and go as follows:

Mazurka Op. 24 No. 4
Mazurka Op. 33 No. 4
Mazurka Op. 50 No. 2
Mazurka Op. 59 No. 3
Mazurka Op. 63 No. 3
Mazurka Op. 67 No. 1
Mazurka Op. 67 No. 4
