@Iplayminecraft AT THIS POINT THE GOVERNMENT WANTS EVERYONES ID, EVERYONES FACES, THEY MIGHT EVEN LEAK IT FOR THIS POINT ITS LITERALLY SO MESSED UP, NOT EVEN FUNNY, THIS IS SERIOUSLY MESSED UP-

Porn is bad but these governments all they do is do id verification on porn sites. They don't actually care about porn they just use it for censorship. If they actually cared about porn then why don't they fully ban it? Noone has to submit any I'd to view porn if porn doesn't even exist in the first place. And you can argue dark web or VPN but how many kids will be smart enough to know how to use those and get addicted in the first place? Like a full ban on porn may not prevent already addicted adults but it would significantly reduce future generations of addicts. I don't like the id stuff just fully ban but I also think porn bans should be slowly rolled out like maybe ban it for once a week for a few years like no porn on Sundays but then slowly throughout decades introduce more days of the week where it's banned and then hours of the day it's banned until full on ban. Slowly get people used to the idea of not gooning

@Sironii your brainwashed by leftists and libertarians into thinking banning stuff doesn't work. The argument it doesn't work only applies when the government doesn't enforce that much. Leftist and libertarian Mfs talk about how banning drugs in america didn't work and just persecuted black people but mysteriously there's no drugs in Singapore or Japan or Muslim countries. Because they actually enforced those rules while america just gives mfs probation or house arrest or a fine. If distribution and production of porn is punished with public execution and torture then people will have too much fear to do it. If you visited a cartel or isis area will you be on best behavior or do something stupid knowing how they treat people who wrong them in their gore videos?

@Sironii your argument implies everything should be legal. because literally any crime will have some people who break it yes but making it illegal if enforced strictly no curruption will always reduce the amount of it. Why are their no school shootings in Japan while hundreds everyyear in america? Because in Japan it's basically impossible to get guns legally and the punishment for getting one illegally is life in prison which scares even the Yakuza into not using guns much.

@COWBOYWARLORD a couple of Labour MPs are pissed with Starmer over disability benefits and Corbyn starting his own party. Labour wont win another election in about a good 17 years

@COWBOYWARLORD @COWBOYWARLORD Ha ha, history repeats itself.

@BigMushroomFan Hate Speech isn't real. Those who think it's real has never been called a single name in their life and if they did instead of either ignoring it or coming up with a better response they want to silence their opposition by crying to daddy government to write bills controlling the peoples' speech.
(edited)

@BigMushroomFan this act doesn't target or even ban pornography. This act is to censor political opponents of the current head of state of The UK, Prime Minister Larry Fink- I mean Keir Starmer. They claim that if you want to access 'adult material' (porn, anti-state politics, songs on spotify with too many curse words) all you have to do is upload a 'video selfie' or photo of your drivers license. They claim that finding workarounds, using VPNs/TOR and even criticising the act puts you on the same side as paedophiles and sex offenders (ironic considering [redacted]).
The thing that I'm curious about is, why are Ofcom targetting VidLii but not 4chan or soyjak party? Does it not show some sort of dirty dealings that these websites haven't at least denied UK IPs access? I doubt Ofcom just havent gotten around to them yet, especially 4chan.
