My commentary: The Windows XP we all know at love SUCKED for some time, until service pack 2 was released. Windows XP pre sp2 ran well on low end systems at the time and using sp2 and sp3 on the will seem "bloated" it's because XP RTM under the hood was more like Windows 2000.
