I agree completely. He just has to be careful who he chooses. We don't need another AliTheZombie or that other one that tried to force his theme.

As much as I wanted to VidLii to resurge and be better than ever, I knew things were going downhill. After my video on Ghost of True Capitalist Radio, my viewership tanked. Everyone else's viewership tanked. That's unfortunately the way it is.

Jan is a good programmer, but a bad CEO. The community gathered around him are more resembling a band of mercenaries than a real business. What's it they always say: The people who surround you will be like you? It's a top-down issue.
Your approach also leave much to be desired, lack of self-confidence I would say. You shouldn't aim to make 'VidLii your career', you should aim at 'entertaining people as your career'. But for that, you need to get your attitude buffed. Strong leaders don't bend the knee, they make people bend the knee. Establish a cult of personality and the people will follow you to the deepest depths of the net.
I recommend watching Endless Jess's Horseshoe Finale and the subsequent sequel to see what I mean.

@AudiovisualJunkyard That's exactly what I seek to do: entertain people. Would I like VidLii to become a career for me? If I get paid enough to support myself, then yes. But the chances of that are slim. Even if it doesn't happen, I'm still looking to make people happy, make them laugh, and be a positive influence for the community.

Is it because Jan is afraid of losing popularity with VidLii? He's already losing it with him censoring the other site and from people mentioning it! People are already leaving VidLii for it! I mean it's not like they weren't planning to originally leave VidLii for the said site! They can be on BOTH sites, right?

@JoshtheJosher IIRC, he had a grudge against one of the admins on there, so he decides to censor it. I could be wrong though.

I can see why you're worried, though I don't really care if VidLii's going downhill because I'll still be here for now, with my VidLii videos in my hard drive. I was never really a part of VidLii's community anyway, if everyone's leaving, good riddance.

@JoshtheJosher This is the second YouTube like site I've been on third if you include YouTube itself. I have Bitchute and other accounts just in case but I don't want this to go the way of Vidme.

@Sudeurion I noticed that. I wish he hadn't quit but the choice was his. Although maybe if he had kept his mod position it wouldn't have been as likely he'd quit.
