This is a glitch which I found while poking around with LinuxBBQ. Start the VM, wait until it shows a boot menu, eject the CD and try to boot something.

Go to the GRUB command line and run ntldr /boot/vmlinuz-<linuxkernelversion>-generic and type boot
It'll give the same effect as you're trying to boot the Linux kernel as if it was a Windows kernel.

it loads data that is not allowed and it displays this screen so you can do the same on a real computer
