It's because the quality of the video is low combined with the fact he used a go pro to film the shooting, it has a different FOV and lenses than a regular camera and a different depth of field, it also depends on what settings he had on it narrow, medium, wide, or superview. After he shot in the one direction on the side walk and went forward you can briefly see the casings, you would only be able to see all of them if he went and bent down and looked at the casings because of the depth of field.
