My critique of readers / character fanfictions
reader / character fanfictions can be good. It's just that people don't want to fully commit to making a story because they don't want to assume anything about the reader, but yet a lot of stories are comfortable with assuming their gender. a reader / characteristic is not a template, it is a theme park. The reader is along for the ride just like they are in any other story, so go ahead and build the whole ride! there's no point in making it if you're not going to commit to the whole thing.
