Why "NewVlare" Failed? | Rant

Why did Vlare fail when it was bought out by [record scratch]? What happened behind the scenes? All that in more revealed in this exciting (not really) video that should've released months ago but I just lacked motivation to do it. Oops.

Good video, I felt like you were the only competent staff at the time of Vlare's "development" (but i might be biased because you helped me grab an old video from the archives)
Regardless, good video, I understand why you were mad. Me, as a member of the community, was kinda peeved as well and was wondering what the hell was going on

Reminds me far too much of Zippcast's whole "new core" controversy that inevitably lead to its downfall due to some of us users turning against the malignant narcissist of an owner.
The owner of Zippcast had tried to turn me against the then-fired community manager, Maklarr4000 who had built up far more trust by claiming Mak had lied to us in the past (this was because Maklar4000 posted a lawyer-friendly unsubtle allegory about what had happened with the new core https://www.deviantart.com/maklarr4000/art/Maklarr-and-the-King-610212766 , which actually corroborated claims made by Alison who even back then no one actually trusted).
I bet either the owner was leaving out the part where Mak lied because the owner told him to or he never actually lied.

You did this rant more justice than I ever could.
As one of the old mods for the project under this reign of darkness, I have to say that it was truly terrible. The contracts, the drama, everything. Staff were shitting on other people like they were birds shitting on pavement bricks, even those who had nothing against them. Blake just talked about Vlare giving it constructive criticism, and had a VC with the staff where he would talk a bit about the community and stuff like that, then later some of us memed about with him once the big guys left, but then Blake became the subject of their mindless attacks on the community, and the criticism, which was legitimate, lead to the owner of Vlare at the time saying that if you were going to, or did work with Vanilla at the time, you would need to pick to either stay with Vlare and leave Vanillo, or go to Vanillo and leave Vlare. It was the pettiest shit. Homicide made the most sense in the situation, and they became the target of the staff.
