I dig this style of video where you're talking to the camera. I think reminiscence is mostly relative to age. I agree with what shizzbox said - I see a lot of my peers romanticize the 2011 - 2015 era more than any other.

I haven't heard anyone ever praise the late 2010s. The mid 2010s, like 2014-2017, sure, but never 2018 or 2019. I believe late 2018 is when the Tumblr containment breach happend and thus their brand of degeneracy was spread to other parts of the Internet.

@shizzbox idk on yt shorts you can find some mfs talking about how good 2019 was but this attitude of 2019 2018 being good has been kinda declining lately but in 2020 and 2021 this attitude among people was super high even I believed in this back then

Akhi the 2010s was the return of a greater jihad following usama's unfortunate death. the dawlatu islam reached the hearts and minds of many mujahid fighters around the world. everything else i agree as the kuffar weakened the internet during that time frame. Inshallah

@JubaSniper I feel Islam got more popular after 2022 like in 2021 and before most people on social media in English speaking internet knew very little about it but it seems since 2022 there's large amounts of debates and discussion online about Islamic theology and mass convertions from Andrew Tate as well

@SkibidiCoffee The greater jihad started in 2015 then rapidly started to expand to the rest of the world gathering many mujahid fighters through media publications from al-hayat and furan media upwards to 2019, despite the unfortunate defeat in iraq and syria the dawlatu islam and other mujahideen seen great success in other areas such as the sahel and afghanistan.

@shingo idk it's just it feels so weird seeing any vidlii video before 2022 like usually it's low effort late 2010s stuff with accounts that stopped uploading after like 2weeks of making videos on vidlii. Watching 2017 vidlii feels like a completely different website

@SkibidiCoffee well a lot of those videos are gone because the channels were terminated, but even then, it was more about the people and less about the videos
