The first portion is a necessary part of the minigame to collect sun so 4 to 5 lawnmowers would usually have to be sacrificed

Repair pumpkins on gloomshrooms when necessary

Plant the first magnet in the middle lane; this will defeat 1 pogo stick zombie in any lane

Plant a second magnet when 2 pogo stick zombies start showing up

3 magnets are always able to defeat 1-2 pogo stick zombies at once. A pogo stick zombie may rarely be able to get away when there are 3 at once and at least one will always get away when 4 at once which in those cases use instants such as Cherry Bomb
