I remember this site
This is a good documentary. I hope you make more like this.
I wish i could make a YouTube Alternative similiar to VidMe , but i can't since i don't know how to code a website.
I just wish the was an alternative to Youtube, Vidme had potential but they couldn't keep the site up.... other sites like bitchute don't really have much that would interest me, here's hoping that Vidlii will have a long life!
I found out about Vidme way back when it started in 2014. I went there to upload horrible gameplay videos, years before I started SGWaS. When my old YT channel was on the brink of being shut down, I remembered Vidme and uploaded there until it was shut down in December of 2017. Then I went to Vimeo, getting little or no attention, leading me to VidLii, then eventually back to YouTube, as well as making regular VidLii uploads.
Vidme was a good service for the creators, and I have met some great friends there, but the user experience wasn't the best, and the fact that the creators would rather spend the money used to keep the site afloat on expensive wine is just disgraceful. YouTube, and possibly VidLii, will be my permanent choices for uploading content, unless something terrible happens to the services or my presence on them.

@SGWaS Yup, i've knew about Vidme since 2016, but never registered my account until January 2017. I was uploading my videos there up until its shutdown as well.
and yep, i agree. if vidme's staff didn't blow their money on shit thats unrelated to the site it could of still been up today.

@SGWaS I'm making a video about the former users of vidme asking how they found vidme, what their experience was like, and what they did after vidme shut down. You pretty much answered all my questions with this comment, and with your permission I'd like to use it in my video, or you could make a video or audio answering the questions. For your help I'll link to your preferred platform and give you a DRM free copy of the final product. Are you interested?
ok a few critiques i have:
the music is too loud, make the voice track higher so that way we can hear you better.
you stutter and pause too much, try to do more attempts at reading the script and cut down the pauses through an audio editor.
the video itself isn't really that documentative, try to explain what people saw in vidme that made it worth it, more landmark moments for the community, etc. try to elaborate on the information provided.
other than that it's nice, gj.

I hope VidLii Doesn’t shut down like Vid Me
Vidme had so much potential, but the owner of the site squandered that money on fancy champagne instead of expanding the site, getting a better webhost, etc. Any website that goes under is mainly due to a lack of responsibility and poor marketing. That's how sites like Zippcast and Vstreamers went under. BitChute may be decent, but the lack of entertainment is why I'm at a crossroads with the site. Vidme attracted a crowd, but they screwed it up.
