Dolichophis caspius is a large snake from the algae family. Distributed in southern and southeastern Europe to the Volga region and East Kazakhstan, and Western Asia. Known not only for its impressive size, but also for its unusually aggressive disposition, it is able to attack a person and bite to the point of blood. It bites painfully, but is not venomous.
