YouTube alternatives aren't the answer we need

While I have been getting good views here, it's mostly been about the subjects I mentioned that tend to get views on YT alternatives, as well as drama related videos. Though the only video with three stars or less I have thus far is my "NO RANDOM FRIEND REQUESTS!" video. I didn't expect that to be my least popular opinion, especially not with my "YouTube Alternative Mentality" video, which out of five ratings currently has four stars...

Matt, your points of why there shouldn't be youtube alternatives, are completely biased and very boring.
You got to understand, my favourite creators are getting fucked left right and center, losing about $350,000 or more because of the adpocolypse.
The fact that youtube admits they rig the site to shit is worrying, they clearly don't give a fuck about the fanbase and well it's not surprising.
So if you wanna whine about Vidlii or any other video sharing sites, just move back to youtube and shut the fuck up.

What youtube has is a lot of how-tos and help videos for many various things. Considering if you started now, and watched youtube 24 hours a day, and lived to 100, you would never be able to watch all the videos on Youtube. and Vidlii is not the only other video Sharing site.

Wow. These Vidlii users are getting extremely violent and defensive as time flies. I need to tell all of you that I don’t think i’ll be uploading any more content to Vidlii as of May 2018, and I just been here since the end of September 2017.
With the recent new spam and misleading videos being uploaded on this site on a regular basis, the moderators choose to leave these bad users alone. I reported a video for containing a misleading title that mentioned content that was not in the video, and got a strike for reporting spam.
Also many of these Vidlii users are becoming extremely homophobic by promoting regressive propaganda like homophobia, hatred against sexuality’s/genders, one sided views to everything, etc.

@PCgamer2231 AM is the lead mod right now btw and he's one of the people who promotes this mindset. If Alison hadn't gone too far you might have gotten what you wanted but he went too far.

Vidlii is a centralized generic worldwide hosting site. This means that any of the 7 billion people on earth can upload stuff. Since it’s generic, there’s no specific one type of videos to be uploaded (like cartoons or educational videos) so this opens doors to spam and celebrity videos, as well as misleading thumbnails.
Vidlii then allows users to have custom thumbnails, and users go wild. They then make eye gorging sunburst thumbnails with photoshopped pictures and ALL CAPS TEXT. Educational and original videos are then banned from Vidlii to make way for the screamers.
Late 2018 - more drama than the site has ever witnessed. User population of about 3 million with 5 mods. Vidlii then does what yt does, instead of taking the site down, they forcefully hire up to 1000 real people against their will and leach off californian taxes, taking money away from families and hardworking people.

@YTrojanEnterprises My intention isn't to insult it. It's just that sites like this one aren't right for everyone and in due time, they will fall victim to several of the same flaws as YouTube. Alorythm bullshit or not, the fact of the mater is that there is not a large audience for legitimate content creators. Should another site rise to replace YouTube, the clickbaiters and those who would do anything it takes to gain views and ad revune will just take over again just as they had with YouTube. Why do you think AskaGangsta got so popluar on Vidme so quickly? Vidme had to put a stopgap on "politics" channels for good reason but sadly it was too little to help promote the legitimate content creators, only those who pandered to their audience, did everything to took to get fame and blindly praised Vidme's staff became successful, if they weren't already as so on YouTube.

My plan is to spread to these websites, hopefully finding a new audience. That's the reason why they ARE the answer, because YouTube is restricting my growth. VidLii is how the chains were broken, and you INSULT it!? Go back to your bad YouTube page and enjoy the vapid trash there.

I see your point about having different web sites for different categories of content, but it would be a royal pain to keep track of several places where my videos are since I make quite a variety of content. For now, I just share the links to specific videos to specific audiences on social media, and that is working for me.
