This was from 1962. The sitcom Hazel is really just your run of the mill good ol days family show, like Beverly Hillbillies or Green Acres. 55 years ago, the sketch was just another goofy dream sequence that you weren't supposed to think about. Like when one of the geeks on Big Bang Theory has a dream and some science fiction or superhero shlock is involved. Apparently, the episode is about the lady, a maid, contemplating whether she should get a contract with the family she takes care of (Yeah that kind of show). I actually know nothing about the show and happened to wake up at 7 AM on a Saturday and see someone dream about being replaced by fucking Robby the Robot. I knew I had to find this online.

Anyway, 55 years have past and now this is legit close to home. If not for the sign I AM UNEMPLOYED and the dad's facial expressions there would be little to separate this from something serious. We've got less than 30 years before it's not funny at all. Laugh while it lasts.
