Valaam Monastery.

The Valaam Spaso-Preobrazhensky Monastery is a stauropegial monastery of the Russian Orthodox Church, located on the islands of the Valaam archipelago in Russia in the Republic of Karelia. Founded in 1407.
More than 100 thousand pilgrims come to the Valaam Monastery annually.
The monastery consists of 16 sketes on several nearby islands and three sketes on distant islands, thirty-five temples and churches.
