It's so hard to shake off YouTube if you want to not use it for how dogshit it is. Sure, you could not use it, but not only does this cut off any videos you watch over there, but also some sites don't have features to provide. For example, I like the feature of being able to add multiple audio tracks for multi-language support, along with subtitles. Lots of sites that let you post videos don't have that feature, nor have subtitle support whatsoever. YouTube is sadly the most free option to embed whatever video you want, as long as it's not taken down. Sure, I could find YTPs in VidLii or Odysee, but those won't likely be the same quality or better from YouTube. And yeah, I pretty much opt out any AI bullshit because I don't like low-effort options and I prefer people being able to making their translations over whatever AI can spew out.

And Also,furthermore,Im gonna be flat out honest with you guys,at this point,James Rolfe needs to honestly retire the AVGN Series,because his new partnership with Screenwave isn't doing anything to helping his channel but further more doing more damage to his reputation than helping him,especially in recent years when he was exposed as a fraud when Mike Matei was the true man behind the scenes who did all th work,wrote the episodes,scripts and planned out the Jokes and creeative Content structure,without mike matei,James Rolfe is nothing,he should have quitted along time ago after his AVGN Movie Flopped in 2014. but yes,your are right,Youtube now adays is treated like a Cesspool Populariety contest instead of users having fun uploading content anymore,this is one of the Main Reasons I movied to Rumble, and Bitchute,which I can have total freedom just uploading my content for fun without worrying about Viral Viewership,which I mostly upload my gaming content just for pure fun.

@StarBomberRevice2021 @StarBomberRevice2021 Honestly, I don't really like calling AVGN a fraud because Mike was always been there in AVGN with the writing until 2020. I just think the two was a good balance for the time and Screenwave is more so a proof of this, since Mike wasn't plagiarizing some reviews and pretended this was their work. Or shoving politics into reviews despite Rolfe being not that political. Point is Mike's worse qualities holds no weight compared to Screenwave's qualities.
I left Youtube way back in 2019 years ago,WHY? heres a simple answer,because i simpilly got fed up with the Ad Revenue and BS Censorship they kept enforcing on us with the Demonitizations and plus the Coppa Scare Tactics was the final Straw for me that broke the Camel's Back,and plus with the Way Youtube's new Policy System is now these days,its impossible for anyone to grow a plarform/Channel on there anymore,not everyone can go Viral like Pewdiepie or Mr Beast,which i struggled for years attempting to try to grow a following on youtube which every single one of my attempts failed,and than i finnally decided enough was enough,its just not Worth it,which Youtube is a complete total waste of time,which now adays it brings nothing but degeneracy and a cesspool of ragebaiting Morons and grifters which you get nothing out of it in the end except humiliation and utter shame,because of the fact,all the geniumly entertaining content creators are now long all Gone.
I want to relive the 2000's completely. But that's a bit hard because of YouTube. I should delete my account on there for good though.

Here are my reasons why I left YouTube:
-Oversaturation of ads (even on channels with zero monetization)
-Oversaturation of artificial intelligence
-Too many channels censoring words to where videos are not entertaining.
-A pain to find genuinely good content.
-Many people that I knew just give up and retired from internet content.
-Too many videos that I once enjoyed got censored out of existence.
-Too many lunatic people.
After a while, it gets numbing to watch a YouTube video because once content creators censor their words for more viewership, they lost the plot. I get it, my content here on VidLii ain't special, but I will say "Censored swears" for views. If I swear, it's uncensored.

@edray1416 And also,don't forget the Obsessive amount of Takeover from all these terrible A.I. slop channels which are also damaging Youtube,which Im so glad i got the hell off that site way back in 2019.

I hate YouTube shorts. It feels like that's what the algorithm of YouTube primarily focuses on. I just want to watch Full-Length videos and not have to worry about doom scrolling for the next 10 minutes of my time. It seems like that's the kind of thing websites use, just because other websites are doing it. YouTube has gotten VERY greedy with so much stuff (Hour Long Ads, Promoting Brainrot, Ai False Flags, Etc.) that it has practically killed off any creativity left on their platform. Because it's all ran by Ai.
@Flipy @milkdrinker Favoritism in moderation is kinda suspicious though even if it is pretty normalized nowadays. That video got taken down but then brought back up after he deleted the catface video that was also AI, so my guess is he's only allowed to have 1.

i understand the anti AI crowd alot but the few things AI is good at is stuff with personalized advice meant for you specifically. not really general facts. like AI has helped me learn how to write html and css code and taught me some workout routines but i wouldnt trust AI to teach me about history/theology/politics/chemistry
but i still think your job should let you opt out of AI if you dont like it.

I'm posting to YouTube too because I'm a greedy pig who *would* like to eventually make money from my garbage if I'm lucky, but I've been posting my stuff here first for various reasons - to get early feedback and possibly catch mistakes before the video goes live on YT, yes, but also the cozier community which makes it a bit easier to be noticed and get feedback. The views and engagements stats I'm seeing on YouTube versus here are very interesting.
I’ve known about VidLii since I was 11, back in 2023. Gosh, man, that feels like forever ago.
