@TheSpoilsofWrath @TheSpoilsofWrath tbh a world without copyright (except for trademarks those are good since they protect you from getting scammed with counterfeit goods unknowingly) would be better like even with pirating movie studios can still make money from streaming services and DVD renting and movie theater tickets and merch sales so it shouldn't matter if one person decides to upload a low quality camera recording of the movie to their friends discord server anyway

The only reason there's copyright, is for the government to make money off of it. Copyright is in fact dumb as hell! And it can be annyoing for others as well.
