This is what I suffered for several years, but it really took a lot of stress, frustration, and self-discipline to understand why these people still cling to YouTube mentally. With the purge about to hit, reality is smacking users in the face.

@RuthlessIntake
No kidding. When a site panders to a bunch of immature manchildren and whiny feminists, you know entertainment is going to be butchered to suit their liberal bias. And people that been around for a long time are getting fed up. I saw the writing on the wall well ahead of the veterans like Mister Metokur and Bearing. VidLii is going to explode because of YouTube's censorship purge.

YouTube is a full on SJW site now. Keeps on shoving the same shit down our throat. Such as Trump hate related videos, feminist videos, Gay Pride stuff, etc. It's getting old and pandering.

@MangG Problem is that those that have a political agenda end up taking over.

@edray1416 The audio has been recorded and I've tried in editing to fix audio issues so hopefully you can hear this one. I agree with ya on x51dg. I miss him too. He and I actually did a collab that was never fully edited and uploaded and at some point I'll post.

When I was first on YouTube, most small channels that gained traction had 25,000 views on average. 10,000 subs or less with 25,000 views per video was incredible at the time. I once had over 1,000 views with 25 subscribers. Some of my videos averaged 400 views. That was impressive. Now if you have over 100 subs, your videos will average half the views. Very disheartening.

Go ahead man. I would love to hear your perspective. The only person I wish would come out of retirement is x51dg. He was a great user.

@edray1416 Glad I'm not the only one that noticed the massive drop in views around 2012. The massive drop is still in effect too, there are so many gaming channels with hundreds of thousands, if not millions of subscribers and they barely manage to get a few thousand views per video. Not to mention it's nearly impossible to get views on your videos if you're new to YT. When I first got on I could get a few hundred views for simple animal videos. I'm lucky to get even 5 now.

@11ryanc I hope it does become a good little community and doesn't shutdown. Though Myspace was too big to go away, it died when FB and twitter came around. Let's hope this site doesn't shutdown.

@cosmicrazer I think that's pretty much everyone's "relationship" with YouTube these days. Everyone basically has a few people they still watch, but other than that they don't really use it. The community here is great and this site has a lot of potential, now if only more people would come here.

@Yoshimasa I don't believe a site like this stands a chance tbh. But that doesn't mean it can't be a good little community either. If it can actually manage to not get closed down, I think it will grow into a cool place. YT competitor? hell no. Chill platform to post videos to and meet people? Sure.

I'm not going to do much on YouTube. I would either use Wenoo or Vidlii. I might try Vidme, but I don't like the circle avatars. YouTube is going full SJW on us. I'm also trying to get people to make accounts on Vidlii and Wenoo, because I like having background images. I used to love YouTube, but now it's become the worst site ever.

@11ryanc Really wish this site would take off. Many people have been established on YouTube for years and would probably never leave unless YouTube flat out deleted their accounts. I keep posting comments on YT videos basically trying to promote this site as much as possible. If there were more people on here, it would not only have a lot more content, but be much more stable like you said.

@MangG Yes! A social networking site conforming to any political ideology will just ruin it. This is why I like VidLii, it's a politically neutral site which I can use without any bias thrown in my face. The community is friendly, NON-TOXIC, and I know no object-show/GoAnimate loving immature kids, no attention whores who want me to check out their channels, no obnoxious arrogant retards, and no like whoring spammers will bombard me here. Jan did an AWESOME job.

YouTube used to be the best video sharing website back in 2006-2010 but ever since google got their grubby little hands on it the website has went to utter shit.. That's why I joined VidLii, Wenoo and VidMe.. the only reason I still use YouTube is if I need to tutorial on something or I want to watch some of my favorite YouTubers... other then that, I just have lost all faith in the website..
