My computer died :(
which means my gaming experience on dragon quest 8 and final fantasy have been destroyed, i have to start over when i get my new computer.

Plug an empty usb drive into your backup laptop. Download the windows 10 media creation tool and run it. Select your usb stick to turn it into a windows 10 bootable. Plug it into your pc and turn it on - (if you dont directly boot into the windows 10 installation (your usb stick) make sure to go into your BIOS settings and go to boot order, there put the usb stick on the first position, so it boots from the usb first). Now that you turn your pc on and it boots into the windows installation just follow the self explanatory steps until you get to the partition screen where it shows all your partitions. LEAVE THEM THE WAY THEY ARE. DONT DELETE ANY OF THEM. Just click next and follow the installation as if youre installing windows for the first time. That way you will have a fresh windows 10 install and all of your old data will be stored in a "windows.old" folder on your C drive.
