Danish trade unions staged a street protest against the cancellation of a public holiday

The center of Copenhagen was filled with about 50 thousand citizens. They went out to protest in connection with the cancellation of the traditional Catholic holiday "Great Day of Prayer".

The authorities explained the reasons for the cancellation by the need to increase the defense budget, including due to the events in Ukraine.
