Lain is good, the only issue with it its the fanbase, which attracts "femcels" AKA basically retarded troons.
Konaka wrote a 90s right-adjacent conspiracy theory (in its own Japanese way) show featuring a passive daughterfu as Japanese wont to do, with 0 themes relating to homosexuality or transgenderism. When the transgender trend dies in 2 decades it will be remembered as such. Faggots also tried to subtly take over Haibane Renmei, but that hasn't worked totally.
After seeing so many retards praising this anime, i did watch it eventually and it was just ok. When it comes to "DeEp MeSsAgE" in tranny chinese cartoons, there are better ones like Ergo Proxy, Welcome To NHK, Legend of the Galactic Heroes and Perfect Blue, but i'm sure there are movies, series or other kind of medium that do these kinds of messages better. TikTok edits and video essays make certain stuff seem like it's the greatest thing ever, when it's not the case at all. By the way, are you a fan of the band We Are The End? Too scared to even think about this show because whenever I think about this show idk how to explain it but I just get this feeling of like sad nostalgia even though I've never seen the show and don't know anything about it just something about the song I hear people associate it with and the cover art just freaks me out somehow. Idk how to explain it but I'm too scared to watch it since if even some cover art can burn unexplainable sad memories into me then watching it would really fuck up my mental health. Idk how to explain it.
