In 1997, before the events of the series, Julian comes up with a scheme to make money during the Christmas season, while Ricky gets confused about the difference between God and Santa Claus. Bubbles tries to organize a Christmas bonfire, a tradition he cherishes. Meanwhile, Mr. Lahey is unusually cheerful because his, at the time wife, Barb allows him to drink on Christmas Day.
