Activists in Rome, Italy (the San Lorenzo district), restore a mural painting against FEMICIDE that had been recently defaced. Each figure in white represents an Italian woman killed -- usually out of jealousy -- by some man, in most cases an (ex) fiancee or husband. Below the necks of these female silhouettes are plaques giving the victim's name and the date of her murder. There are 107 silhouettes along the 320 ft. long wall; they represent the 107 women killed out of jealousy in Italy in 2012, the year the mural was created. This restoration is the third since then, due to continual acts of defacement.
