emo is basically closer to a sweater-vest wearing nerd with shaggy hair that covers their eyes.
theres no black skinny jeans, dark makeup or band tees at all.

AND BEFORE YOU SAY SOMETHING STUPID LIKE "emo stands for emotional" or "all emotional music is considered emo" STOP TO REALIZE THAT IF THAT WAS TRUE THEN ALL COUNTRY SONGS WOULD BE CONSIDERED EMO.
