Kelsey Byrne, a.k.a. VÉRITÉ (Truth in French) was born in 1990 in Orange County (New York/USA). With her brother they were raised by parents (Polish roots) which are college professors. Living in a musical household, she learned piano very young, & was encouraged by her father (also Latin/rock musician, addicted to alternative radio) to listen to 1990s rock bands such as The Cranberries, The Breeders, Nirvana, etc... She is a beautiful singer & songwriter, now based in Brooklyn (NY). Described variously as indie pop or alt pop, she can hardly be confined in those genres, as she combines the influences she loves most, heartfelt lyrics & a finely constructed synth & percussion.
