Don't ban popular people on the website, if this happened on YouTube, people would riot
We are not YouTube, and we don't care about how popular someone is if they break the rules. If we were like YouTube, people would dislike us anyway, for not banning people like, say, Logan Paul.
You shouldn't ban users because they're edgy or controversial
Someone can be controversial and not be edgy, these two are not mutually exclusive. And we only ban edgy people when their edginess causes them to cross the line.
It's your website and you're free to do that, but you're going to come off as an asshole
Considering the kind of community we have received over the months for not coming off as that, I'd say it's worth it.
Darkscythe was banned for no reason
Saying he's going to laugh when VidLii dies, that I'm too far up my own ass, acting like a dick and a troll in general. He said he was leaving, so I saw no point in letting him stay and troll me some more.

What is the end-goal of the website then? It seems to me they're trying to save face
We've made this website as a hobby, all we wanted to have was a nice community. People have started advertising us as if we were the greatest YouTube alternative, the big free-speech zone where you could do literally whatever you wanted and not get in trouble. As soon as people started getting in trouble, we started getting dissed.
There was no face to be saved, we never wanted our community and our site to turn out like this. We're only enforcing these rules and acting like this towards people because things have just gone way too far now beyond our control, so we had to take drastic measures to stop it.

Probably not, as long as you sound reasonable and give the website constructive criticism like you're doing now. Nobody got banned for criticizing the website. Some have left out of their own free will, others (like Darkscythe) have made a video about it, but their bans were warranted due to other acts they've performed (disrespecting the administration, trolling, etc).
As long as you don't go out of your way to call me a "retard autistic sperg evil bastard cock-sucker" like many have done, you're safe to post whatever you want.

@Theewall2000 Consider it what you think it is, if people have good points to make, I'll listen. If people have "you suck, go to hell, your site is going to die and I'll laugh", then there is nothing to be heard, nothing I can use to improve the site. These people just need to go away.

There is now. There's been so much criticism about the lack of it, we've implemented it now.
If the mods had acted in a more professional manner, things would've moved in a whole different direction
Probably, they would've. But you've got to understand we've been frustrated with the way things were moving for months, and were pretty unsatisfied with the community in general. The community who had decided to ignore our rules and disrespected us and dissed us constantly, even before the bans happened. Then, they started acting entitled to some non-existent free speech right in our server, when there hasn't been any clause stating they had said right. The community, in my eyes, deserved no respect. That's why I acted the way I did.
I can act professional given the circumstances. If the person criticizing me is acting in a professional and civil manner, I'll act accordingly. If not... well... just ask Darkscythe.

I have had my share of dissagreements with Darkscythe but he was always been respectfull maybe trolling a bit sure but respectfull non the less.

@Theewall2000 The site is bad, we don't need to look like it. I've seen content creators I respect and admire tell me they don't want to join the site because we let all of them run rampant and do nothing about it.
It's a choice to be made here, we either appease a bunch of trolls that go out of their way to ignore our rules and are actively trying to ruin the community, or we appease a bunch of content creators that are willing to make the site a better place by uploading good content people can enjoy.
