That was a fun watch. I went in expecting mostly boring tech repair footage and was pleasantly surprised that the video kept me hooked til the end. It sucks that you never managed to fix the old Hi-Fi system, I hope you hang on to it a little longer and hopefully find a proper fix eventually.

I have no fucking clue how this thing works, but have you tried taking out the entire heat sink just to see what's around that area? Maybe it takes the HIFI a good bit of work to get started up and something that requires that heatsink to start up properly is tripping out?
