Notice how it switches over to the camera looking at container B instead of the actor. That's because it was actually Jim Carrey, and he still wanted to be recognized as a comedian for his fans in Canada. It was two years before he appeared on In Living Color, and the only other appearance that he had on TV was on the obscure show The Duck Factory. To make things work, he appeared in this failed commercial.
