The House of the Rising Sun è una canzone folk statunitense. Non si è a conoscenza di chi sia stato il compositore e, nel corso del tempo, ne sono state composte numerose versioni. L'arrangiamento fatto dai britannici The Animals, nel 1964, è generalmente considerato il più famoso ed è stato il numero uno in classifica sia negli Stati Uniti, sia nel Regno Unito, in Svezia, Finlandia e Canada ed il numero cinque in Olanda e nel 1999 vince il Grammy Hall of Fame Award.
