I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you're referring to as Linux, is in fact, a common component of Unix-like operating systems since the days of PDP-11. `touch` has been ported to a variety of different systems, most notably as a component of coreutils in GNU/Linux, but also to other non-GNU Linux distributions with BusyBox/Toybox, systems such as Plan 9 and FreeDOS, and even Microsoft Windows by using Cygwin/MSYS2.

Through a peculiar turn of events, touching penis has been mainly associated with GNU/Linux userbase, when it is in fact, a crucial freedom anyone can enjoy, under a permissive license of one's choosing. Strictly speaking, the act of `touch`ing penis is straight, since it is still a commonly used, widespread tool, available on most operating systems, whereas only around 8% of population identify as gay.

A more adequate canditate would be a long-forgotten Finger protocol, available on Windows as `finger.exe`, not installed by default on most Linux distros.
