So true, I totally agree. But some AI videos trick me sometimes, so imagine how good it will be in 5 years, there is definitely a concern for the corrupt use of ai, since it can be so convincing. At the end of the day, there are pros and cons to the development of ai, it cant be all good nor can it be all bad. From how things are going, ai is just something we will have to learn to live with.

@shingo Look me dead in the eyes, and tell me you wouldn't fall head over heels for a perfect recreation of 張宗昌

@ikkqqstudio Good at increasing corruption on companies, unemployment and generating less job opportunities.

@spodermen This is why I hate the AI debate. Idiots like you dont know the difference between Gen AI (The one explained in the video) and regular AI (The one you're mentioning)

@PaperDonch someone seems REALLY mad just because of a test of humor at the expense of showing the colors of those who are truly moronic.

I agree that, at least for programming, the chatbots can be good teachers if you inquire them with a critical learning mindset; that is, if you're already smart enough not to believe all their hallucinations. LLMs are well on their way to put people out of their jobs without a solution from the system, but, in the end, it's not artists that will be the most affected (at most, AI will devalue digital art, and people who produce slop would have never commissioned an artist in the first place); the most affected will be people with more utilitarian, productivity-focused jobs, such as programmers. But, hey, maybe they'll start making fun stuff again once their employers decide they're not necessary.

People really need to chill out with the technological mysticism about large language models conquering humanity or something, it's ridiculous. This is just neo-luddism, low iq peasants crying that a revolutionary labor saving technology might cost a few jobs as if creative destruction hasn't been around since the printing press.
